Modern Illustration
Editorial spreads, character studies and narrative worlds — illustration claiming its wall space.
The Exhibition
Stories in single frames
Fifty illustrators, one wall-sized argument that narrative art belongs in the museum. See original editorial commissions beside the sketchbooks behind them, plus a reading corner stacked with the magazines and picture books the works first appeared in.
The final room is interactive: a long communal table where visitors add to an evolving mural that our exhibiting artists extend every Friday evening.
