Murakami Art Collection
Fluid, joyful abstraction — wave blues, sunset pinks and painting as pure momentum.
The Collection
Pure momentum
The Murakami bequest brought us forty-five works united by movement — poured ribbons, dragged gradients and brushwork you can read like handwriting. It is the collection children run toward and photographers linger in.
A low children's bench runs the length of the main wall, and the family spotting trail starts here. School groups visit this collection more than any other room in the building.
